About Ling Nam Siu Lum
Ling Nam Siu Lum Kung Fu Academy was established in 1984 by Sifu Michael Manganiello. It was the first kung fu school on Long Island that was to open to the public. Prior to that, only private instruction was available.

Sifu Mark Manganiello

Sifu Mark Manganiello began his studies in kung fu at the age of 7.
He is now teaching at Ling Nam Siu Lum Kung Fu Academy.

Sifu Mark Manganiello
Sifu Mark Manganiello began his studies in kung fu at the age of 7 years old learning basic stances and forms from his older brother Sifu Michael Manganiello.
In the 1970's Sifu Mark then joined his brother at the Chinese Shaolin Boxing Association in the Bronx under the direction of Sifu Bart Crofton, Sifu Bill Cheung of the NY Freemasons, and Sifu Gin Foon Mark of the Kwong Sai Jook Lum Southern Preying Mantis system. There he studied Hung Ga, Choy Li Fut and the beginning of Southern Mantis.
Meeting Sifu Milton Chin
Moving on from there Sifu Mark spent his time learning more Hung Ga and Wing Chun until finally meeting his current Sifu and mentor Sifu Milton Chin.
Sifu Mark has been with Sifu Milton Chin for over 30 years continually practicing Mantis and improving himself through hard work, chi kung, iron body, training and constantly refining his footwork and fighting skills.
His motto is:
