During week two, we concentrate on upper-body conditioning. Here you will learn chain punching, the proper way to punch, and precision striking that is so important in Kung Fu. Focus mitts play a large part during these drills as well as training with the heavy bags, sand bags (iron palm conditioning) and at the highest levels, the Mook Yan Jong (wooden man). We also train in the first half of the Yit Gun Ging, or the muscle changing classic. These are the various static and dynamic tension exercises that help build stamina and physical strength.
