On a weekly basis, students are exposed to Hung Gar and Wing Chun on a variety of levels. The combination of the these two styles make for an explosive fighter who has the ability to handle both close range fighting and effectively destroy his opponents bridge from afar.  We train on a six week cycle so that no area of conditioning or technique is overlooked. Every class begins with the foundation of Kung Fu- stances. Stances increase your stamina and leg power tremendously. Think of your legs as the foundation of the building that is Kung Fu- strong foundation, strong building.

Week 1 - Week 2 - Week 3 - Week 4 - Week 5 - Week 6

On week one, we practice Wing Chun and Hung Gar forms. A list of the forms can be seen by clicking on the styles above. The forms contain all of the answers, you just need the key to unlock them. To some, forms are just a series of moves- to the Kung Fu practitioner, they are like individual chapters of a book- each building on the previous, yet on some levels unrelated. Each and every move may have several applications and although you learn them in succession, they may not have been intended to be utilized that way. This is where Sifu's knowledge becomes glaringly apparent and worth several times the price of admission. He has the keys to the forms and only your hard work will grant you access. Here are some examples from class:

Note: internet video instruction will be available shortly- covering all aspects of the programs available at Ling Nam.
